Bellevue's Sun Aesthetic Clinic on Botox as Surgeons Report a Subtle Shift

Non-invasive treatments now account for 80 percent of procedures reported by facial plastic surgeons, led by neurotoxins and fillers, according to the AAFPRS. A surgeon-led Bellevue clinic explains how it plans Botox.

Patients are asking for subtler results. The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) announced its 2025 Annual Survey statistics on February 24, 2026, and its members report that non-invasive treatments account for 80 percent of all procedures, the most popular being neurotoxins and fillers.

The academy projects a 19 percent increase in facial procedures nationwide, and reports that patients aged 35 to 55 form the core of patients getting neurotoxins. According to the survey, patients are seeking natural-looking and thoughtfully planned approaches rather than drastic changes.

The clinic describes Botox as a purified neuromodulator that temporarily quiets the specific facial muscles responsible for dynamic expression lines. Common treatment zones include forehead lines, the vertical frown lines between the brows, crow's feet, the masseter and neck bands, and each dose is selected against the muscle anatomy of the patient in the chair.

Results last roughly 3 to 4 months for most patients, according to the clinic, and a two-week post-treatment touch-up review is included so any refinement happens before the result fully sets. Topical numbing is available on request.

"Most people who ask about Botox want to look like themselves, only more rested. We plan each treatment around the muscles that create the line, so the result softens expression without flattening it," said a spokesperson for Sun Aesthetic Clinic.
